Randolph, N.J.—B-to-b media company Edgell Communications has debuted Edgell Mobile Services, a new division that develops mobile apps and associated services for trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
The new division is headed by Group Publisher Albert Guffanti. “Having a state-of-the-art mobile app for your event is like giving attendees the event "in their pockets,' ” Guffanti said in a statement.
Edgell said the apps have the potential to extend an event's impact beyond a few days' interaction at the event to yearlong interaction. Additionally, the apps can improve an attendee's on-site experience with social media feeds, maps of an event floor and code scanners for downloading exhibitor information.
