Elliott named chief creative officer of Y&R New York

New York—Jim Elliott has been named chief creative officer of WPP's Young & Rubicam, New York. Elliott, who will start his new role in June, joins Y&R from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, where he was a group creative director. He succeeds to duties formerly held by Scott Vitrone and Ian Reichenthal, co-executive creative directors who left Y&R in February.

At Goodby, Silverstein, Elliott worked on Häagen-Dazs, Hewlett-Packard Co. and Yahoo. Y&R New York's clients include Dell Inc. and Xerox Corp.
