Published on .

Burlington, Mass.—Elsevier, a publisher of scientific, technical and medical information products, announced that it has acquired the publishing assets of William Andrew Inc.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

William Andrew is a book and database publisher in a number of fields, including plastics and adhesives. Over the last 18 months, the two companies had a distribution partnership.

“Purchasing the content assets of William Andrew now is the logical next step in our relationship,” Jim Donohue, Elsevier’s managing director-science and technology books, said in a statement.
