Email list prices fall

Published on .

Boca Raton, Fla.—The prices marketers pay to rent sales-contact email addresses continue to drop, fueled by increasing availability of email lists, according to a report from list management company Worldata. According to Worldata's “Summer 2013 List Price Index,” the rental price of permission-based email addresses for sales contacts at midsize-to-large businesses dropped 12.1% from the same period a year ago, to $232 per thousand names. Permission-based email names at small businesses dropped even more, 17.8%, to $120 per thousand names. However, international email list prices rose by 1.5%, to $407 per thousand names, compared with summer 2012, and continue to be the highest- priced list rental category. Postal list prices for aggregated business databases fell 9.4% to $77 per thousand names.
