Published on .

Boca Raton, Fla.—The prices marketers pay to rent prospect email addresses have fallen steeply due to a surge in the availability of email addresses, according to a report by list management company Worldata. According to Worldata's “Winter 2013 List Price Index,” overall business email rental prices fell an average of 12.0% since its “Winter 2012” report, to $140 per thousand names. The report attributes the drop to a 26.0% increase in the number of email addresses available to marketers. Midsize and large company permission-based email list prices fell 4.4%, to $240 per thousand names, with international email list prices steady at $403 per thousand names. Postal list prices, by contrast, have largely stabilized, with aggregated business databases priced at $78 per thousand names, Worldata said.
