New York—Global ad spending will reach an estimated $542.3 billion this year, up 7.4% over last year, according to a forecast from eMarketer Inc.
The U.S. leads in global ad spending, with an expected increase of 6.7% this year, to $169.5 billion.
Global ad spending next year will slow to 6.4% growth, eMarketer predicted.
The U.S. will continue to be the No. 1 ad spender next year,, with total ad spending up 4.0%, to $176.3 billion.
EMarketer also projected that online ad spending worldwide will increase 21.2% this year, reaching $107.3 billion.
Next year, global online ad spending will reach an estimated $126.2 billion, up 17.6%.
