EMarketer: Online ad revenues to increase slightly

New York--Online advertising spending will grow to $7.6 billion this year, up 7% over revenue of $7.1 billion in 2000, according to a new report from eMarketer Inc. Despite the slow economy, online ad spending will increase to $10.3 billion in 2002 and top $23 billion by 2005, the report projects. EMarketer said the growth is due largely to the flexibility and targeting capabilities of the Internet.
