EMarketer revises online ad spending numbers downward

New York—EMarketer has revised its Internet ad spending projection for this year to $25.8 billion, down from its October estimate of $27.5 billion. However, eMarketer said it’s important to note than the lowered estimate still represents a 23% increase in online ad spending this year compared with 2007. Ad spending growth is expected to drop to about 16% in 2009.
