Employment outlook good for direct marketers

Owatonna, Minn.—Job prospects for direct marketers in the second half of the year are good, according to an employment survey by Bernhart Associates Executive Search released this week.

Seventy percent of companies that responded to the survey said they plan to add staff in the third quarter. Those hires will occur in several categories, including analytics, account management, copywriting and marketing, respondents indicated.

Only 2% of respondents indicated that they had planned staff cuts.
