Engage sells some media assets, exits media business

Andover, Mass.--Engage Inc. has sold its flagship Adknowledge intellectual property and customer lists to Bluestreak Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Engage's majority owner, CMGI Inc., announced it was cutting off funding for Engage on Aug. 9. Engage announced on Aug. 20 that it would exit the media business and concentrate instead on developing and marketing software. Engage declined comment on how many of the remaining 125 media employees were hired by Newport, P.I.-based Bluestreak. Bluestreak, a marketing software developer, did not return calls by press time. http://www.engage.com
