Entertainment and media industry to reach $1.2 trillion by 2005

Report: New York--The economy looks bright for the entertainment and media industries, which will key off the Internet as a distribution mechanism to post 7.2% annual compound growth through 2005, according to an annual report released Wednesday by PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. The consultancy said revenues in the industry would reach $1.2 trillion by 2005 amid growing demand for online music, books, newspapers and magazines.
