Dallas—Direct marketing company Epsilon announced an expansion of its partnership with Facebook to include partner category targeting. Under the agreement, Epsilon and Facebook will offer advertisers the ability to target Facebook ads to groups of people based on interests expressed on the social site, such as “People who are interested in donating to charitable causes.” Epsilon and Facebook stressed the importance of privacy, noting that no personal information about Facebook users will be shared, and users still have control over the ads they see on Facebook.
