Dallas—Marketing services company Epsilon has hired Google executive Eric Stein as exec VP-digital strategy, a newly created position.

Stein will help evaluate Epsilon’s client offerings and strategies across business units and identify new opportunities in the digital marketing space, according to the company. He will report directly to Epsilon President-CEO Bryan Kennedy.

At Google, Stein led the effort to integrate DoubleClick following the search giant’s 2008 acquisition of the ad serving company. Prior to that, he led Google’s Local Markets program.
