New York—About.com, a content site owned by the New York Times Co., is planning to boost its presence in the business-to-business space. The company will roll out several new vertical sites later this year featuring expert advice on a wide array of subjects, including business services, health, media and technology. “We need to make sure we're adding content which our users are asking for,” said Evan Minskoff, VP-marketing for the About Group.

In a related story, The New York Times on Monday said it will introduce Press Engine, which will allow publishers and media organizations to deliver their content on emerging platforms, starting with iPhone and iPads, in the fourth quarter. The Dallas Morning News, Providence (R.I.) Journal and (Riverside, Calif.) Press-Enterprise will participate in the product launch. Several other Times Co.-owned newspapers, including the International Herald Tribune, will also take part in the product launch.
