Facebook ad effectiveness jumps in Q3

San Francisco—Advertisements on Facebook saw an 18.5% improvement in click-through rates in the third quarter, compared with the previous three months, according to a study by social marketing company TBG Digital. According to the company's “Global Facebook Advertising Report,” the average rise in Facebook ad click-throughs was seen across the U.S., Canada, France, Germany and the U.K., and resulted in a rise in impressions of 7.1% between the second and third quarters of this year. Meanwhile, average cost-per-click on Facebook ads fell 10.8% from quarter to quarter. TBG's study was based on an analysis of 255 billion ads from 216 advertisers in 192 countries.
