Facebook ad prices rise again

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Advertising on Facebook continued to rise in the second quarter of this year, with average cost per clicks (CPC) increasing 22% over the first quarter, according to marketing consultancy Efficient Frontier's “Global Digital Marketing Performance Report.” That continued Facebook's double-digit CPC rate hikes; rates in the first quarter were up 40% over the last three months of 2010. According to Efficient Frontier, Facebook's CPC rates are on pace for an 80% increase this year compared with last.
