New York—Facebook will see its share of global mobile ad revenue reach 15.8% this year, up from 5.3% last year, according to a revised forecast from eMarketer.
In a June forecast, eMarketer projected that Facebook would capture 12.9% of global mobile ad revenue this year. It attributed the upward revision to “stellar performance in Q2” by Facebook.
Google, still the dominant player in mobile ad revenue, is projected to capture 53.1% of the worldwide mobile ad market this year, up from 52.3% last year. In June, eMarketer forecast that Google would capture 56.0% of global mobile ad revenue.
