Facebook forms council of ad agency advisers

Published on .

Menlo Park, Calif.—Facebook Inc., hoping to increase the appeal of advertising on its platform, has formed a council of ad agency executives to provide feedback on advertiser needs. Facebook's new Creative Council, consisting of 14 agency creative directors, is intended as “a sounding board for identifying top priorities for agency creatives in areas like product, measurement and programs,” according to a company blog. Facebook also has launched Facebook Studio Edge, a series of short online courses about Facebook's marketing options, such as apps, Pages and ads. The courses currently are available only to launch partners, but availability will be expanded over several weeks, the company said.
