Menlo Park, Calif.—Facebook Inc. is rolling out a way for publishers to integrate Facebook conversations into their broadcasts or coverage, with public posts of real-time activity.
Media partners in the initial rollout include Buzzfeed, CNN, Mass Relevance, NBC's “Today Show,” Sky TV and Slate, which will get access to Facebook's public posts. According to Facebook's blog post,
the company will add more media partners in the coming weeks.
As an example, Facebook said media partners might show the number of Facebook posts that mention a specific word over a period of time, including a demographic breakdown for the people talking about that topic.
