Palo Alto, Calif.—Facebook plans to launch advertising on pages displayed on mobile devices by the end of March, according to a report
Among the ad possibilities are Facebook's Sponsored Stories
ads, which advertisers use to display users' friends' interactions such as brand “likes” and page posts. These would be displayed within Facebook's mobile news feed, according to the report.
The added revenue stream is expected to augment Facebook's planned initial public offering in 2012, which may raise as much as $10 billion for the company.
