Facebook rolls out new ad platform

New York—Social networking site Facebook has introduced Facebook Ads, a new advertising platform that allows marketers to target ads to users on the network. Facebook Ads includes three programs: Facebook Pages, which lets businesses create Web pages to reach users; Facebook Social Ads, which lets marketers spread brand messages virally through the network; and Facebook Insights, which gives marketers access to information on user activity, demographics and performance.
