Menlo Park, Calif.—Facebook Inc. has rolled out an update to its Graph Search technology that uncovers more information about the personal interests of other Facebook users. When Graph Search fully launched in July, its natural-language search queries found people, pictures, interests (including “likes”) and places shared by friends, as well as posts shared publicly by others. Now, in a limited rollout to a small group of users, Graph Search has been enhanced to uncover status updates, photo captions, check-ins and comments on shared items, Facebook said in a statement. Users can also search for posts about a city, place or from a certain time, which might include such queries as, “Posts by my friends from last month,” or “Posts written at the White House,” Facebook said.
