Menlo Park, Calif.—Facebook is the top social media ad spending choice among marketers this year, according to a survey by the Creative Group, Menlo Park, Calif.
When asked which social media networks would receive the most advertising or marketing investment this year, marketers selected Facebook (53%), followed by Twitter (43%), Google (41%), LinkedIn (38%) and YouTube (36%).
Marketers were also asked if they planned to decrease their advertising or marketing investments in social media networks this year.
Only 4% said they would decrease advertising or marketing investments on Facebook, while 5% each planned to decrease investments in Twitter, Google, LinkedIn and YouTube.
The survey was based on telephone interviews with more than 500 advertising and marketing executives conducted in the first quarter.
