Fairchild Publications promotes Murphy

New York—Fairchild Publications, a unit of Advance Publications, announced that Sarah Murphy has been promoted to publisher-beauty and marketing for WWD Media Worldwide. She joined Fairchild in 2002 as publisher of WWD Beauty Biz. In her new position, Murphy will oversee the marketing efforts for Women’s Wear Daily, WWD Beauty Biz, Beauty Report International and Children’s Business. She will also continue to direct the advertising sales efforts for the beauty category across all WWD properties.
