Farm Journal buys AgCast Network

Philadelphia -- Farm Journal Corp. announced Tuesday that it has acquired the AgCast Network, a Des Moines-based agricultural news and market data service, from Data Broadcasting Corp. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. AgCast will be merged with Farm Journal's existing Globalink service, which delivers agricultural news to farmers via satellite and the Internet. Farm Journal Corp. publishes Farm Journal and owns ``AgDay,'' a nationally syndicated TV agricultural news program, and the Wilhemi Radio Report, which updates farmers on commodities prices.
