Published on .

Philadelphia—Farm Journal Media has acquired “AgriTalk,” a nationally syndicated radio program covering agricultural markets, from Vance Publishing Corp. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition will extend Farm Journal Media's portfolio into radio farm broadcasting, according to the media company. Introduced in 1994, “AgriTalk” is a live, one-hour talk show that airs daily on 70 radio stations throughout the Midwest. Farm Journal will be integrating “AgriTalk” into its advertising sales portfolio. Management of the radio program's editorial, distribution and production will be under the company's broadcast division. The brand will also be integrated with the AgWeb.com website. Mike Adams, host of Radio AgriTalk and John Herath, senior producer of the program, will remain with the show, with production based at Farm Journal's broadcast studios in South Bend, Indiana. There will be no layoffs.
