Philadelphia—Farm Journal Media announced Friday the acquisition of the agricultural TV news program, "U.S. Farm Report …Town and Country Living."
Farm Journal acquired the hourlong, weekly program from Tribune Entertainment Co. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Farm Journal Electronic Media, the broadcast division of Farm Journal Media, will immediately assume advertising sales efforts for the syndicated program, which was launched in 1975. Tribune remains the exclusive distributor of the show in broadcast syndication.
The show’s network of more than 190 stations includes Tribune’s 26 owned-and-operated stations and super-station WGN, collectively delivering 97% household coverage. In addition to publishing magazines and operating Web sites, Farm Journal Media produces two other TV programs: "AgDay" and "WeekEnd MarketPlace."
