Kansas City, Mo.—Farm Journal Media's Beef Today
has launched a new website designed to connect buyers and sellers of cattle. The new site, Cattle-Exchange.com, allows sellers to place free listings of livestock for sale; sellers can also pay to post enhanced listings.
Potential buyers can sort cattle for sale by breed, geographical location or other, customized options. Bill Newham, VP-livestock group publisher at Farm Journal Media, said in a press release 65% of those purchasing breeding cattle use the Internet to locate or research their purchase.
“Existing market channels will still have their place, but Cattle-Exchange.com offers a much greater selection and allows buyers to find the cattle that best suit their needs quicker and easier,” Newham said.
