FCB names Blamer president-CEO; IPG wins Computer Associates account

New York—The Interpublic Group of Cos. announced that its Foote Cone & Belding advertising unit has named Steve Blamer president-CEO. Blamer was previously CEO of Grey North America, a unit of Grey Worldwide. He succeeds Brendan Ryan, who will continue in the role of chairman of FCB.

Interpublic also announced that it has won the Computer Associates account, with various agencies handling the work.

The lead agency on the business will be Draft, with Interpublic’s Initiative handling media and Jack Morton Worldwide handling event marketing.

Computer Associates’ previous agency was Young & Rubicam.

Spending was undisclosed.
