Vienna, Va.—1105 Government Information Group this month will relaunch its government trade publications Federal Computer Week and Government Computer News.
The brands will take their acronyms, FCW and GCN, as their new names and will provide additional editorial coverage throughout their print, online, tablet and mobile platforms. They will also offer more customized information and in-depth analysis of technologies, federal policies and procurement of technologies.
GCN will also broaden its audience to include IT professionals across the public sector, as well as the K-12 and higher-education markets.
“When used in combination, the new brands offer advertisers complete coverage of both markets and the entire U.S. public sector technology universe,” said Jennifer Weiss, senior VP-group publisher of FCW and GCN, in a statement.
FCW and GCN will debut their new websites Oct. 15, with the newly designed print issues being distributed around the same time.
