Memphis, Tenn.--FedEx Corp. subsidiaries FedEx Freight, along with FedEx Trade Networks, announced Thursday the launch of a new less-than-truckload (LTL) transport service to Europe. The service will be rolled out gradually: first in several Southeast states, then in the Midwest in mid-December, followed by states in the Northeast and Southwest as of mid-February. It will be supported by Koninklijke Frans Maas Groep N.V., a European freight service provider. Separately, FedEx Corp. Wednesday announced rate changes for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground, effective January 6, 2003. The average increase is 3.5% for Express and 3.9% for Ground service.
