FedEx Kinko’s survey finds small businesses concerned about economy

Dallas—FedEx Kinko’s Thursday released the results of its national “Signs of the Times” small-business survey. It found that 89% of small business-owners polled are moderately to very concerned about the current economy’s impact on their business.

Sixty-six percent said they foresee flat or declining profits this year.

However, cutting marketing and ad budgets doesn’t appear to be in the cards for most small businesses, as 92% of those surveyed said they will either keep their spending the same or increase it this year.

The online survey was conducted in March with 456 small-business owners in conjunction with the Ketchum Global Research Network and M/A/R/C Research.
