FedEx to offer incentives to online b-to-b buyers

Memphis--FedEx Corp., the shipping powerhouse with more than $20 billion in annual revenue, has announced a plan to discount 10% off list shipping rates to customers using its Web site. FedEx has been a leader in the development of such Web business services as package tracking and signature verification but has not previously offered discounts for online buying. The company said that b-to-b customers can apply for the discount at its Web site and must use its FedEx Ship Manager software to create labels that qualify for the discount. Enrollment in the program runs through Nov. 30.
