FIPP supports Shanghai media conference

Published on .

London—The International Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP) announced Wednesday its support of the Shanghai Media Summit, which will take place Nov. 5-6.

The event will explore the potential restructuring of the Chinese media business for Chinese and foreign media companies doing business in China.

The official sponsors of the event are the Communist Party of China (CPC), Shanghai Department of Publicity and the Shanghai Municipal Government Information Office.

"They are inviting Chinese media organizations as well as foreign media companies to attend the conference and discuss the best ways to restructure and consolidate Chinese media both in the near and long term," FIPP said in a statement.
