FirstRain launches real-time data analytics application

San Mateo, Calif.—Customer intelligence and analytics software company FirstRain Inc. has launched a Big Data analytics tool for sales and marketing teams. FirstRain's Market Insights application analyzes external information, including social media, to help identify a company's target growth markets, top customers and emerging competitors, the company said in a statement. The cloud-based tool also provides a continuously updated comparison of how a company stacks up against its three closest competitors across each of its top product areas, FirstRain said.
