Flickr updates site, adds to photo storage

Published on .

Sunnyvale, Calif.—Flickr, the photo-sharing service owned by Yahoo Inc., has revamped its site and added 1 terabyte of free photo storage. The site's interface has been redesigned to include full-resolution photos in both browsing and search mode, rather than the previous words and links. Full-resolution photos will be sharable via Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter, as well as Tumblr, which Yahoo acquired this week. Yahoo also launched a version of the Flickr app for Android phones and tablets, similar to the iPhone app the company introduced in December, CEO Marissa Mayer said in a blog post on Tumblr.
