Flycast, Unicast expand to Europe

San Francisco--Making good on predictions that Internet advertising will go global in 2000, Flycast Communications Corp., San Francisco, and Unicast Communications, New York, on Tuesday announced strategies to increase European business. Flycast will provide cost-per-click advertising to British Telecom Yellow Page advertisers that are interested in reaching business customers and consumers on the Internet. Unicast, which sells Internet superstitial advertisements that feature multiple pages, audio and visual without a lot of delays, opened a sales office in London. Kenton Smith, formerly director of Northern Europe sales for DoubleClick, was named Unicast VP-Europe.
