Forbes soft launches new blog blending editorial and marketing

New York—Forbes is introducing a new blogging platform that will allow marketers to contribute content to both the print publication and its website.

Lewis Dvorkin, who was recently named chief product office at Forbes and given full editorial reins, said in blog last week that the platform, which he called Entrepreneurial Journalism, puts news at the center of social media. He said the blog is the “first step in our plans to open up our digital and print platforms to content creators, consumers and marketers alike.”

The moves comes several weeks after Forbes shut down True/Slant, the freelance blogging site it had purchased from Dvorkin, its founder and CEO, in May.
