Forbes.com study finds business users will pay for wireless content

New York--A survey of more than 550 Forbes.com users found that business professionals are using advanced features on their wireless phones and would be willing to pay for news content to be delivered to their cellular devices.

According to the study, which was conducted with SmartServ in November, 51% of respondents said they would be interested in subscribing to general news delivered to their cell phones; 36% said they would be interested in subscribing to business-related news; and 24% said they would be interested in subscribing to entertainment news.

Of those who indicated interest in receiving business news over cell phones, 20% said they would be willing to pay more than $1 a month for such services. Of those wanting entertainment news, 16% said they'd be willing to pay more than $1 a month; and of those wanting general news, 15% said they'd be willing to pay more than $1 a month.

Ninety-one percent of Forbes.com users currently own a cell phone and 10% use advanced features on their cell phones.
