New York—Tom Davis, most recently VP-sales and marketing for Forbes Media, has been named CMO. He succeeds Jack Laschever, who has been appointed president of Forbes Conferences.
Davis, who joined Forbes Media in 2008, previously held multiple roles at IDG, including general manager of IDG's Customer Access Group and associate publisher of Network World.
Laschever had served as CMO since September 2011. Prior to that, he was senior managing director of venture capital for DPEC Partners. From 2004 to 2008, he was group publisher for ForbesLife.
Davis reports to Meredith Kopit Levien, chief revenue officer at Forbes Media; Laschever reports to Mike Federle, Forbes Media COO.
