Published on .

San Antonio—Direct marketing company Harte-Hanks announced Monday that president-CEO Dean Blythe will leave the company effective Dec. 31. He will be succeeded by current chairman Larry Franklin, who was the company’s CEO from 1991 until 2002. Franklin will continue to serve as chairman.

“While we do not underestimate the challenges from the current economic environment, we firmly believe in the long-term growth opportunities for our company and that we have the people in place to take advantage of those opportunities,” Franklin said in a statement.
