FreeMarkets announces deal with oneworld

Pittsburgh--FreeMarkets Inc., a b-to-b global marketplace, has signed a one-year agreement with oneworld, a global alliance of 31 airlines. Under the terms of the agreement, FreeMarkets will provide oneworld with access to its e-sourcing technology and sourcing expertise, which the alliance will then use to select goods and services for its member organizations. Airlines in the oneworld alliance include American Airlines Inc., British Airways plc and Qantas Airways Ltd. Combined, the airlines generate nearly $50 billion a year in passenger sales.
