'FT' promotes Day to U.S. online sales director

New York—The Financial Times has promoted John Day to U.S. online sales director, from Advertising Account Manager. He succeeds Lucy Gould, who has left the newspaper. Day is responsible for building on FT's online ad revenue, which grew 48% last year. Day joined FT last year after working at Investors Business Daily, where he developed the online sales department.
