Washington--The Federal Trade Commission Thursday issued its much-anticipated report addressing the antitrust concerns of e-marketplaces. The report, which in large part came from discussions at a two-day public workshop the FTC held in June, outlines a regulatory framework to guide e-marketplaces. It also follows the FTC's in-depth review of automobile Net market Covisint. The report said most antitrust concerns can be eliminated through well-crafted e-market operating rules. Industry consortia Net markets will be closely watched if their owners have a large industry market share, restrain participation outside the market or do not interact with other e-markets, the report said.
