G2 Worldwide buys Refinery

New York—WPP Group’s G2 Worldwide, a digital marketing services agency, announced it has acquired Refinery, a 12-year-old interactive agency in Philadelphia. Refinery’s capabilities will be integrated with G2’s North American business unit, G2 Interactive, according to G2, and will operate under the leadership of G2 Interactive President John Paulson. The Refinery brand will be phased out. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
