Gannett announces executive appointments

McLean, Va.—Gannett Co. announced two appointments in its Newspaper Division. Ellen M. Leifeld was named president and publisher of the Tennessean in Nashville and a VP in Gannett’s Interstate Group. Leifeld succeeds Leslie Giallombardo, who left to form her own business. Tove M. Hicks-Klund succeeds Leifeld as president and publisher of the Post-Crescent in Appleton, Wis., and a group VP in the Midwest Group. She was previously VP-sales and marketing for Gannett’s Wisconsin newspapers.
