Gartner sees half a million e-market users

Boston â€" More than 500,000 companies will be using e-marketplaces as either buyers or sellers by 2005, Gartner Group Inc. predicted in a study released this week. Gartner foresees three main types of e-markets: commodity, which support high-volume trade; business service, focused on inter-company services like logistics, financing and procurement; and integration service, enabling company-to-company linking of business processes.
