GE and Dow Jones seek ‘green’ businesses

New York—General Electric Co. and Dow Jones have launched a contest, “ECOnomics: The Environmental Business Plan Challenge,” offering $50,000 as the grand prize to support the best environmentally conscious business idea. The contest is open to business executives, entrepreneurs and students, who may submit ideas on www.dowjones.com/ge, through Dec. 15. Four finalists and a winner will be announced in the spring.
