Genesys, Siebel form tech support alliance

San Francisco--Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories Inc., an Alcatel subsidiary, and Siebel Systems Inc. announced a cooperative technical support alliance for joint customers.

Genesys' telecommunications adapter, Gplus, is already integrated with Siebel's call center technology.

The additional support integration expands on the companies' four-year relationship and will allow more efficient resolution of technology problems for the companies' more than 50 joint customers.

"Our customers will save time and will benefit by working together with experts from both Siebel Systems and Genesys," said Scott Chaykin, VP-worldwide technical services at Genesys.
