George P. Johnson acquires Asia-Pacific events company

Auburn Hills, Mich.--In an effort to tap into Asia-Pacific markets, events marketing agency George P. Johnson Co. said Wednesday that it had acquired DesignTroupe of Sydney, one of the leading events marketing companies in the region. Terms were not disclosed. DesignTroupe designs exhibit and public spaces worldwide. Its clients include IBM Corp., General Motors Co. and Chrysler Group.
